Fell Pride is a colorful, cheerful and open cultural event for all people and a demonstration for equality and human rights, organized at the foot of Finland's most popular ski resort Levi. Fell Pride wants to highlight minority cultures and spark discussion about the status of sexual and gender minorities in northern Finland and in the region's small village communities, as well as among internationally popular destinations. We want to do our part to ensure that everyone in Fell-Lapland, both as a villager and as a visitor, feels safe and welcome.

Fell Pride will now be organized for the third time, this time when the spring sun warms the sides of the fell, on April 26, 2025. Springtime Levi offers a great setting for this colorful event. The joyful atmosphere and relaxed atmosphere of the fell ensure that everyone can feel welcome - just as they are. Welcome to march and celebrate with us for human rights and equality. For each of us to be able to live and express ourselves freely, bravely and safely.

Our theme for this year is “community is all around”. The LGBTQIA+ community up north is small, yet mighty and active, even though this area is quite sparesly populated. Community is an important part of life for those in minority groups, but what if you are the only representation you see in your area? How important it is to be seen for who you are in your everyday activities by the people you encounter. As we focus on this theme of community, we ask you to think about the kind of community that is around you. What kind of support you might give to those just trying to be themselves?

During the event, you can make your own sign for the procession, march for equality and non-discrimination together with others, after which influential speakers from the region will speak and at the end, there will be dancing to the tune of a DJ.

In the evening, the colors and expressions of the rainbow will take over Bar Pois Kotoon, where the evening party will be held. The evening party is for adults only and this year the stage will feature Kas Kan, who creates a painterly atmosphere with modular synths, the amazing electro-folk duo Junna from Oulu, representing the cutting edge of folk music, and the rainbow Sámi DJ Hulluella!

The Fell pride day time event starts with a sign workshop at Levi Hotel Spa (10:00-12:00), where everyone can make their own signs for the Pride parade. Supplies will be provided on site, but you can also bring your own equipment!

At 1 p.m. we will gather at the St. Mary's Chapel Square, where the event will be opened with welcome speeches and instructions for the safe space.

The event will feature several speakers, representatives of the municipalities of Kittilä and Muonio, as well as local residents. A member of the Rovaniemi Seta ry will also participate.

The parade will start immediately after the speeches and will tour around the Levi centre for an hour or so.

The day time event will finish off with DJ Wunderbaum's groovy daytime party at the St. Mary's Chapel Square starting at 2 p.m.

The day time event is open to all and free of charge.

join as a volunteer

Come and join us in this important work for equality. We all have the right to express ourselves exactly as we see fit and at the same time feel like an equal part of the community. We can't think of a better way to promote these values than by working together. You don't need to have any special skills or previous experience in the event industry, the most important thing is an open mind. We offer easy event production tasks, such as event construction and dismantling, decorations, ticket sales, traffic control and whatever else the event requires. The evening party at the event is free for volunteers.

safe space - for everyone

The Safer Space principles are in place during the events. We respect and support each other during the event.

1. Be open. Approach new topics and people without prejudice, take every issue and situation you encounter as an opportunity to learn something new and develop.

2. Respect. Give others space, pay attention to your choice of words and remember the diversity of event participants.

3. Don't assume. Respect everyone's right to self-determination and don't make assumptions about others' gender, background or family relationships, for example.

4. Don't intervene. If you witness harassment or other inappropriate treatment, don't remain a bystander.

5. Encourage. Take responsibility for the experience of other participants as well. Listen and encourage.

6. Relax. Making mistakes and asking questions is allowed.
